One of the best features of essential oils is their ability to naturally solve common everyday ailments vs taking an over-the-counter medicine. Most of the common aids in your medicine cabinet (pain relief, insomnia, indigestion, cuts, wounds, etc.), can be replaced with just a swipe of essential oil.
WHY USE a ROLLERBALL?
Aromatherapy rollerballs are the simplest and most effective way to deliver the aromatherapy wellness benefits. NOORIś Roll-ons, a prediluted blend of essential oils, come in glass containers varying in size from 5 ml to 10 ml sizes. Our roller balls are used for application of blends to pressure points – some common points are wrists, behind ear lobes, and back of neck.
There are three pathways EOs enter the body:

Inhalation (entrance via the olfactory system)

Dermal (entrance/absorption via the skinś surface, hair follicles, & sweat ducts)

Oral Ingestion(entrance via internal consumption - not widely recommended)
Although inhalation of essential oils is the largest pathway for the benefits of aromatherapy, dermal (skin) absorption is a great one as well . Our skin is essentially permeable, allowing liquids, gases, and fat soluble substances to pass through. Unlike many water-soluable commercial products, Essential Oils are fat soluable. Their tiny molecules, when applied to the skin, are minute enough to penetrate and absorb into the body via the strateum corneum (the outer layer of the epidermis). The minuature molecules take a journey through the dermis, into the capillaries and into the bloodstream. After entering the bloodstream via your capillaries, the EO molecules are received by our brain. (this is also the route of toxic ingredients within many commercial products.)
Other Absorption Factors:

Rate of circulation. (Can be increased by massage)

Warmth of the skin increase blood flow to the surface, thereby increasing the skinś oil absorption ability. (Can be increased by massage.)

Skin area coverage. (The larger the area, the higher the absorption.)

Skin permeability. (Thinner areas, such as, behind the ears, inside the wrists, palms of hands/feet, armpits, scalp are very permeable)

Scrapes, abrasions, cuts, burns, excema, etc. (Absorption is improved with clean skin pores.)

Carrier oil viscosity, thickness. (less viscosity = easier skin penetration)
There are several great things about rollerball bottles. They are premade mixtures – which saves time when something hurts; they are easy to apply – roll it on your feet, your neck, your wrists and you are ready to go.Roll the blends over your neck, feet and wrists (and if applicable, the place that hurts). To be most effective, apply less oil and apply it more often.
